About Future Forwarding

Future Forwarding was established in 1977 with our first office in Birstall situated between the major cities of Leeds and Bradford and about 200 miles north of London.

Starting out purely as an air freight company employing only three people, we quickly expanded into ocean freight, road freight and we now offer a full range of import and export services.

Today, thanks to the continuation of our carefully planned expansion programme, we have 5 offices; Leeds head office, Manchester Airport, Sheffield, London Heathrow and Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia in the USA.

Over 70 individuals are employed by Future Forwarding and we turnover in excess of £15 million ($26m US) annually.

Over the years we have remained loyal to our northern England roots, w e have also been careful to retain the family values on which the company was originally founded. To this end we’re fiercely protective of our reputation as a friendly, helpful organisation that genuinely cares about its customers. In fact we’re on a first name basis with the majority of our clients, most of which are long term customers.

• 1977 - Future Forwarding formed
  Head Office - Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire; consisting of a purpose built warehouse / office complex
  
• 1981 - Sheffield office opened
• 1984 - Leeds / Bradford Airport office opened
• 1985 - Manchester Airport office opened
• 1990 – London, Heathrow office opened
• 1991 - Obtained BS5750 / ISO9002 accreditation
• 1995 - DFT approved for Aviation Security & Aviation Security Training
• 1997 - Delta Airlines UK award for support
• 2000 - Head office relocation to Leeds to accommodate future expansion
• 2001 - Atlanta office opened
• 2002 - FSA (Financial Services Authority) registered
